InternshipRemote / Async
Software Engineer Intern
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer Intern who cares deeply about code quality, performance, and building tools that actually solve problems. At Worqship, you won't be writing tests for discarded features or fetching coffee. You will be writing production code, shipping features, and learning how to build software from the ground up without the typical enterprise bloat. We value autonomy, clear communication, and a strong bias for action.
What You'll Do
- Ship high-quality, un-bloated production code for internal utilities and client products.
- Collaborate directly with senior engineers on architecture and implementation.
- Participate in code reviews and take ownership of specific feature verticals.
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect React/Next.js components.
- Debug complex issues and optimize application performance.
Requirements
- Strong problem solving skills and an ability to think through complex edge cases.
- A proactive mindset with a strong bias for action and taking ownership.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and un-bloated code.
- Excellent written communication skills for an async work environment.
- Must have a portfolio or GitHub profile showing real projects you've built.
What We Offer
- Work completely remote and asynchronous.
- Direct mentorship from senior engineers and founders.
- Flexible working hours — work when you are most productive.
- Competitive intern stipend based on experience.
- Potential for a full-time offer upon successful completion of the internship.
